Double Internal Bay Superimposed (“BID”) – (Optional)

Uses a superimposed retrieval device for handling two trays at different heights. Ensures ergonomic work with useful material heights up to 275 mm. Material up to 425 mm accepted only on the upper bay. Equipped with an automatic shutter.

Double Internal Bay Superimposed (“BID”) – (Optional)

As an alternative to the double internal bay with carousel, a superimposed retrieval device may be adopted to have the lift pick up and place a second tray in a waiting position while the operator is still working on the first tray.
The two retrieval levels are positioned at 625mm and 975mm from the floor, respectively.

The complete operating cycle is described below:
- The lift positions the first tray in the upper picking station.
- While the operator is working on the first tray, the lift starts the picking cycle of the second tray positioned on the rack.
- The lift positions the second tray on the lower picking device.
- When picking operations have been completed, the first tray returns on the lift; simultaneously, the second tray is already available and positioned in the working area.
- The lift completes the cycle by positioning the first container on the rack and picking a third tray, which remains on board the lift until the operator confirms the end of the picking step at the tray in use.
- After checking that there is nothing overflowing from the lower tray, the lift picks and refills the third tray on the upper picking station in totally safe conditions, ensured by a control barrier along the entire depth at the height of the materials.

In summary, the waiting time of the lift during the picking step performed by the operator (masked time) is used to handle another tray. With average picking times, the performance of the automated storage system can even be doubled, while remaining in the footprint of a normal internal bay.

It is always equipped with automatic shutter.

This solution, cheaper than the previous version, is equally performing and ensures ergonomic work with useful material heights up to 275 mm.
Material with a height of up to 425 mm is accepted only on the upper bay.
This solution is applicable for all current models and for both operating modalities, i.e., flexible and dedicated use.
